How To Fit In Your Workouts

I’m just going to admit that I am struggling with getting to the gym.

I have nothing but excuses. I have multiple options available. I did my workouts at home for more than 10 years. I have a gym membership to a 24 hour gym. I have no less than 5 apps. I have a Total Gym.
And I’m still not moving. I’m having hip pain that feels different. I’m thinking I need to add something different. I’m going to do some Buti Yoga tomorrow at the gym tomorrow. I’ll do 3 days of weights. Today I should go walk for a bit on the treadmill or do a triathlon (switching machines every 5 minutes). Sometimes you just have to make yourself sound more impressive than you are.
My body is telling me something and I’m not completely sure what yet. I’ll figure it out. I just need to show up. All I really want to do is take a nap most days.
In case you are looking for some options, here are the things that I have and have used in the past.
- Bodi (formerly Beachbody when I used it for 12 years or so)
- Ladder App (currently using)
- Buti (Yoga)
- Asana Rebel (really has everything)
- BetterMe (It has great AI examples of exercises and lots of options)
- Gym membership (I do like it for the equipment which can get expensive)
- Ju Jitsu (I still have my membership, haven’t been in more than 6 months, bought a plan and have 9 months left)
- Pole Dancing (limited availability made it a seasonal thing, that makes it hard to progress)
There are so many options as you can see. This is just what I’ve used or am using. I have to find a solution for me though. I feel better when my body is moving. I’ll find the answers. I will say that it has been rough since I turned 40. It felt like a switch flipped. My body isn’t able to tolerate so many things it could do. I don’t want my body to give up on me so I won’t quit on my body. She’s been good to me.
